Bahubali, the most awaited movie was released last friday (10th July) and on its first day it created history of record opening. The movie features Rana Daggubati, Prabhas Varma, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film narrates the story of brothers who are fighting for a kingdom.

3 years of hard work


It is said that “Hardwork never fails” and Bahubali is the true example of it. Director Rajamouli and his crew worked for almost 3 years for the completion of the movie which will be released in two parts. The shooting of the film started at Rock Gardens in Kurnool from 6 July 2013. Also the pre-production of the film took almost 1 year which is the maximum for any Indian movie.

Around 800+ Technicians worked on Art, Design and Visual Effects


Bahubali has the highest number of National Award winning technicians working on the project. . Around 800+ Technicians worked on Art, Design and Visual Effects for this magnum opus.

Karan Johar Joined the multi-lingual Project

Karan Johar joined his hands with Rajamouli to promote and release the movie in Hindi. Along with that the movie is also dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam and few other languages, is set for release on the same day i.e 10th of July.

Massive Budget


Baahubali film is the most expensive film made with a budget of 250 crores. The film is set to release in 4,000 screens including 135 screens in US only

45-foot-high scaled sets


Usually 24 foot height set is created for Indian movies, but for Baahubali 45 foot tall sets where created which is a record.

Featured on BBC documentary


The movie was even featured on BBC’s documentary on 100 years of cinema. The best part it, Baahubali was the only film that was included even before it’s release.

Around 2000 stuntmen & elephants


Around 2000 stuntmen/junior artists were trained for sword fighting, arm-to-arm combat and horse riding for the War Scene.

Peter Hein Has been training the lead actors


Peter Hein is a fight master/action choreographer, stunt coordinator personally trained the lead actors and stuntmen.

Common between the recent release ‘Jurassic World’


Flying in the VFX team of Jurassic World, Baahubali involved a lot of complex computer-generated imagery (CGI) and VFX shots which comprise almost 90% of the movie. Simply put, about 4,500-5,000 VFX shots in 3 hours

Guinness Book of World Records by making the largest poster ever


The film’s Twitter handle posted a picture of the ‘world record’ movie poster. The poster was unveiled in Kochi. The movie Baahubali has entered Guinness Book of World Records by making the largest poster ever. History had been made through this grand poster of “Bahubali : The Beginning”. The poster has the dimentions of 50,000 sq feet.

Fitness Mantra


Prabhas and Rana has gained lots of weight (more that 100 Kg). Both actors was to consume 2,000-4,000 K. calories per day along with 40 boiled egg white everyday. Body Building equipment of Prabhas itself costs 1.5 Crore INR.
